The Rooted Wild Guide
A New Identity
There have been more than a few things keeping me from disclosing what has claimed my heart and captured my imagination in the last few months. Travel, family and a few bumps in the road to name a few. But this land where I live is persistent and kept nudging me to take action. “Pay attention” it called with every sunset. “There are stories here that must be shared. Abandon the need for perfection. You will never have it all figured out. Just get going. I will show you the way.”
So today, I am trusting in that earth-based wisdom rising up inside me, believing that what is calling me forward will sustain the work.
I’m rebranding my Earth and Table account with a new identity that allows for a clearer purpose and direction... The Rooted Wild Guide.
In the weeks ahead, I’ll be writing about the work of a Wild Guide and sharing deeply rooted stories from the places where I wander. I’ll reveal some of the historical, ecological and social components that make the places where we live so alive. Using my adventure van, Sparrow, as my mobile office, I’ll film, photograph or record ambient sounds to bring the stories to life. And the threads of an earth-based spirituality will weave it all together.
I’m excited to head down the road of this new adventure. And as with any good road trip, I’m not entirely sure what is going to come into view next. But I do trust it will be filled with opportunities to move into closer relationship with the land and each other. And that can’t be anything but good.
I’d love to have you come along for the ride.

Sounds beautiful and precious and well done for trusting the talking of the wildness. For hearing and saying: okay.
